To Ma & Pa

 I don't know in future where I will land,

Only today is in my hand,

After a long time, I am with you,

So I want to appreciate this time without any due,

On your wedding anniversary all, I want to say,

Ma and Pa l am trying my best to pen it down in my way,

I am grateful for both of you in my life,

Like a responsibility, you stood by me in all my strife,

Even though sometimes we have a different perspective,

But in the end, we come to a conclusion collective,

Like you say that is what a family does,

We respect each other's opinion without creating fuzz,

I know something about me you like to be changed,

I too have complaints about the way house is arranged,

But in the end, we know life is a wabi-sabi deal,

That's why as a family we stand together in zeal,

All these years we have had bad and good days,

But you both made sure we don't travel in different ways,

It might be just sheer luck that I got you,

But better parents than you no one I knew,

Words might fall short if I try to express what you mean to me,

Hope in my eyes the love and respect you could see,

Trust me I would not leave you for someone,

Nor forget the things for me you have done,

In coming years I wish you both make many more good memories,

And be each other's strength in case of troubles and worries,

I am sorry for complaining about the things you couldn't provide,

Now I know your best you have tried,

You took all my tantrums as your obligation,

You have seen my smile as well as my tears of frustration,

Thank you for the countless things you have done for me,

So that the storms you have faced I don't have to see,

All the scars you got because of me,

Hope one day where it took me you will be proud to see.
