I Love Myself The Way I Am

Mostly I am criticized,

People say I am oversized,

They say lose some weight I will be perfect,

As others opinion I always respect,

So I tried to change myself a bit,

My favourite food items I quit,

Still, the demands didn’t end,

To take care of my looks said one friend,

I took it too to consideration,

Copied the style of a star sensation,

Taught me beauty’s definition,

Must say, the attention it gets is truly an addiction,

But when I started living with this new me,

Everything began to change I could see,

I got the attention even though I never demanded,

My friend circle as expected got expanded,

Happiness was at the peak,

How happy I was I couldn’t speak,

Time passed and one day I looked at my old memories,

It was of the time when I had no accessories,

I looked at the innocence in those sparkling eyes,

Then I looked myself in mirror thrice,

I asked myself what was wrong with her?

Why I am doing all these in my mind occur?

For Mom, I am the apple of her eye,

Dad never told, to change me I should try,

My flaws don’t matter to those who love me,

Little late but now the truth I could see,

So I left the pretty me because I don’t want to bear its cost,

In search of that beautiful person myself, I have lost,

I don’t want others my charm to embrace,

Rather I like to be a good human being in the entire race,

You can think my thoughts are crazy,

Or you can call me lazy,

I am not going to explain it to you all,

I would be the way pleasing to my soul,

I wouldn’t fall again for this beauty scam,

I love myself the way I am,

Always like a panda black and fat,

Let the world be behind a beautiful cat.
